Hello / K-Open

Post by Tom » Thu Sep 24, 2009 9:49 am

Hello All,

I'm currently a user of K-Open 3, and I thought I would register to see if any one can help with an Idea I'm playing with :D

We currently have about 20pc's running XP, and I'm playing with the idea of moving away from Windows and on the Linux (ubuntu) on all our PC's unfortunately Solarsoft/XKO have said that 1) there isn't any kcml emulators that are designed for Linux and they wouldn't be able to get any of the k-open feature's (outputting a quote to a document from Sales&Marketing, e-mails, etc.) to work in linux.

I can do some basics like using Ubuntu's inbuilt terminal to "log-on" to the server, but I can't do any thing else.

Any ideas would be great.

Thank.

Tom.

What about running a terminal server just to handle the K-Client / WDW Sessions and using Rdesktop.
