Shared Data Library and Compliance Level 2

Post by MARTIN_K » Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:59 pm

I'm in the process of testing our first Shared Data Library. We currently use a global background partition in all of our programs. In the KCML documentation is says, " It is unwise to put program text in the same library as shared @variables." So I have a simple library with nothing but a global variable @test.

If I set the compliance level to 2 in a program that prints my global variable, I get an error:
"ERR: P55.002[10,6]: There are undimmed variables in this program: @test"

My test program simply sets the compliance level to 2, adds the shared data library, then prints @test.

How is it possible to use global variables in programs that set a compliance level >= 2?

Thanks,
MARTIN_K
