Dump Data

Hi,

I need to dump tables(SL.trans,VS.newst.....) out of Kerridge into a csv file. Have a few issues.

1. RG export will not have enough space as I need to dump all the fields.
2. Ctrl+right click will not do as I have multiple company's that needs to be in one file.
3. I cannot use the sql in the kcml directory because of another environment that is setup.
4. I don't want to use the ODBC. Not yet........

Does anyone have a solution or tool to do this? I need the data for our internal Auditors.

use the SQL command line tool?

Hi Martin,

Re Point 1. I thought you could export up to 127 fields per report. Do you have more than that?

Yip. I have to dump the whole data base. The auditors needs all the fields.

What about just printing to a file?

Code: Select all

SELECT PRINT <filename>
REM Loop through your rows and print the columns, separated by commas.
PRINT column1; ","; column2; ","....
rem End of Loop.

I did this on Rev 7 using mutiple export files but with the prime key repeated on each one, to enable joioning them together later. Worked for my customer.
